1907 New Year Postcard with Dove & Purple Fabric Flowers in Relief

A charming antique New Year postcard featuring a white dove pulling a little cart filled with purple pansies. Raised decorative elements, gold-coloured accents and soft fabric flowers give this small keepsake a beautiful variety of textures.

The scene rests on a pink textile background covered with soft cream fibres, framed by a silver-coloured border. The greeting “Bonne année” — “Happy New Year” — appears beneath the dove and flower cart.

Dated 1 January 1907 in the handwritten correspondence, this postcard preserves a touching message of friendship: “Toujours aimée, jamais oubliée” — “Always loved, never forgotten.”

The message is signed Alice Poulain and addressed to Mademoiselle L. Robert in Asnières, Seine. A red French postage stamp and postal cancellation remain on the reverse.
