The Selys Longchamps Archive
The Selys Longchamps Archive brings together original letters, invoices, receipts and commercial papers addressed to Baron Edgard de Selys Longchamps and members of the Selys Longchamps family, mainly at the Château de Halloy near Ciney, Belgium.
Dating from the early decades of the 20th century, these documents offer a glimpse into the everyday administration of a Belgian estate — from banking, insurance and automobiles to clothing, construction, food and household supplies.
Each piece is an original historical document connected with the Selys Longchamps family and forms part of this larger group of correspondence.
