French Military Stationery – 6th Line Infantry – Künzli Frères Paris

Original antique French military stationery, unused and preserved blank, featuring a richly illustrated heading for the “6e Infanterie de Ligne” of the French Army.

This decorative sheet of military writing paper features two French infantrymen in period uniform, together with a detailed camp scene including tents, soldiers and a mounted officer.

The printed heading reads:

ARMÉE FRANÇAISE
6e INFANTERIE DE LIGNE

Below the illustration are printed spaces intended for the writer to complete the military unit information:

• Corps d’Armée
• Bataillon
• Division
• Compagnie

Along the left edge appears the publisher’s mark Künzli Frères, Éditeurs, Paris.

Unlike most surviving military correspondence, this sheet was never written on and remains blank. Its unused condition makes it an attractive example of original French military stationery and a particularly appealing piece for collectors of antique paper, military ephemera and historic stationery.

The colour-printed illustration is finely detailed, with vivid period uniforms, rifles and a military encampment scene.
